Das Eiernest ist ein Gewann am Rande Heslachs sowie eine im Jahre 1927 erbaute Wohnsiedlung, die sich entlang der Eier-, Liebig- und Schreiberstraße erstreckt. Die ca. 180 einstöckigen Einfamilien-Reihenhäuser wurden im Rahmen eines sozialen Wohnungsbauprogramms der Stadt Stuttgart für städtische Arbeiter und Angestellte errichtet. Die etwas versteckt liegende, idyllische Anlage, die an die englische Gartenstadtidee anknüpft, ist eine der am besten erhaltenen Stuttgarter Arbeitersiedlungen.
Wer das Eiernest mal sehen und dabei noch ein bezauberndes Konzert in privatem Rahmen erleben möchte, sollte sich am am 28. September ab 17:00 Uhr im Habichtweg 5 einfinden. Im Rahmen der dort gelegentlich stattfindenden Stuttgarter Gartenkonzerte geben Tender Buttons in einem kleinen, für die Anlage typischen Garten ein Akustik-Konzert. Getränke, Decken und Kissen sollten selbst mitgebracht werden, der Eintritt ist frei. Der Platz ist allerdings begrenzt, daher ist frühzeitiges Erscheinen ratsam.
Adresse: Habichtweg 5/Stuttgart-Heslach, nähe Marienhospital. Gut erreichbar mit Bus Nr. 41 (Haltestelle Eiernest) oder 42, U1 und U14 (Haltestelle Erwin-Schöttle-Platz, dann zu Fuß).
